Whether you're new to fishing or a seasoned angler, our FAQs cover everything you need to know before your trip. From what's included to what to bring, we make it easy to plan a stress-free, fun-filled adventure.
Liability Disclaimer (Ugh we know)
All participants must acknowledge, sign a waiver and accept the risks associated with outdoor activities. We prioritize safety at all times, but Myrtle Beach Fishing Company is not liable for any personal injury, lost items, or unforeseen incidents during your trip.
What is On-Shore Freshwater Fishing?
No Boats! No sickness! More fun and safety! Our camps are all done from the shoreline of some of the areas best lakes, rivers and ponds! Fish are plenyful and big!
What age group is the camp for?
The camp is designed for kids ages 8 to 17, with activities and instruction tailored to each age group.
Do kids need to bring their own fishing gear?
Nope! We provide all rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Just pack sunscreen, a water bottle, and a snack.
Is the camp safe for beginners?
Absolutely! Our guides are trained to work with kids of all experience levels in a safe, supportive environment.
What if it rains?
We fish rain or shine, as the old saying goes, "the two best times to fish are when it's raining and when it isn't." Unless of course, conditions are deemed too unsafe. If we need to cancel a day, we’ll communicate early and provide a makeup option if possible.

Brayden Williams, Head Angler
Fisherman, Kayaker, Traveler, Outdoor Lover, Nature Appreciator
My name is Brayden and I am an avid fisherman and a fun guy to hang out with when out on the water. I have loved fishing ever since I can remember, and have spent more of my life with a rod and reel in my hand than I have sitting at a desk. I have an extensive knowledge of the local waters and love to see my castmates make some amazing memories!
I’ve always had a passion for the art of fishing—and for the arts themselves. Whether it’s the precision of casting a line or the creativity behind a great tattoo (yes, I have plenty!), I’m drawn to expression, patience, and detail. Fishing, like art, is about reading your environment, understanding movement, and being fully present in the moment. That’s the energy I bring to every trip. I love helping people—especially families and first-timers—connect with the rhythm of the water, enjoy the experience, and maybe even fall in love with fishing the way I did.
I can't wait to catch something great with you!

Dylan Phillips, Lead Angler
Fisherman, Traveler, Reptile Lover
Hey there! My name is Dylan Phillips, and I’ve been fishing the Carolinas since I could walk — literally! I grew up in a small rural town in South Carolina, where my Grandpa first introduced me to fishing on rivers, lakes, and farm ponds. That early passion stuck with me, and after high school, I made the move to the coast and dove headfirst into the world of saltwater fishing.
Over the past six years, I’ve spent my time running deep sea fishing charters and commercial fishing offshore, often staying out for weeks at a time during the winter season. From bass and bream to marlin and swordfish — if it swims, I’ve probably caught it.
Now, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with others — whether it’s helping a beginner catch their first fish or passing on tips to the next generation of anglers.
A few fun facts about me: I love to travel, spend my winters hunting, and never say no to a good seafood boil. I’m also a huge reptile enthusiast and have a few pet snakes at home!
Looking forward to fishing with you or your little one soon!
