Built for Kids Who Need the Outdoors
We’re seeing it more than ever—kids are spending less time outside.
In fact, only about 38% of kids regularly participate in outdoor recreational activities today, and nearly 1 in 3 families say cost is a barrier.
Camp Hook + Field was built to change that.
This is about:

- Giving them space to explore
- Teaching skills they can carry for life
No pressure. No tryouts. No experience needed.
Just show up ready to get outside.
What a Week Looks Like
Each camp session is designed to keep kids moving, learning, and engaged from start to finish.
A typical week might include:
- Shore fishing and species identification
- Catch-and-release techniques (and sometimes catch-and-cook)
- Survival basics like fire building and shelter setup
- Team challenges and outdoor missions
- Exploration of local ecosystems around Myrtle Beach
And yes… plenty of stories, laughs, and moments they’ll be talking about long after summer ends.
Designed for Ages 6–17
We structure activities so every camper—whether they’ve never held a fishing rod or already love the outdoors—can jump in and succeed.
Our goal isn’t just to teach skills.
It’s to build confidence, independence, and a connection to the outdoors.
